THE EAST AFRICA INSURANCE BROKERS ASSOCIATION (EAIBA) COCKTAIL

This auspicious event was held on the margins of the 3rd Annual Conference of the Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda, (IBAU). It gracefully started with an Executive committee meeting of the EAIBA members in the afternoon with a main objective to promulgate the Constitution. This was attended by;

1. Amir Kiwanda, the incoming Chairman of the Executive Committee and President of Tanzania Insurance Brokers Association (TIBA).
2. Emmanuel Njama, Advocate from Tanzania Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda.
3. Omollo Nelson, Outgoing EAIBA Chairman and President of AIBK.
4. Anthony Mwagi, Incoming President of AIBK.
5. Abdul Salam Rucekere, President of Burundi Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda.
6. Solomon Rubondo, Chairman, Insurance Brokers Association of Uganda (IBAU).
7. Amogola Maurice, advisor to the EAIBA
8. Ritah Namakiika Nangono, IBAU legal secretary

Later on in the evening was the cocktail that was presided over by the Chief Executive Officer of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda, Alhaj Ibrahim Kaddunabbi Lubega as the Chief Guest and had a presentation by Professor Augustus Nuwagaba on “POSITIONING THE INSURANCE SECTOR FOR OPPORTUNITIES IN THE EAST AFRICAN FEDERATION.”
Also in attendance was Hon. Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire whose contribution as president of the East African court of justice was recognized, Aphwa Sebyala the CII Africa good will Ambassador.
